Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment and adjust care plans as needed.
- Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment such as ventilators and oxygen delivery systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate patient care activities.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding respiratory health and therapies.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Assist in emergency situations by providing advanced airway management and resuscitation support.
- NBRC Certification required, RRT or CRT.
- Licensed to practice in the State of Texas, RCP.
- ACLS and PALS Certifications required within 6 months of employment.
- Working knowledge of cardiac rhythms and parameter.
