Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing in managing nursing staff and day-to-day operations within the nursing department.
- Oversee the implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and support nursing staff development, training programs, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor patient care delivery and collaborate with healthcare teams to improve quality and safety.
- Manage staffing schedules and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency and patient care.
- Participate in budget planning, cost control, and resource management for the nursing department.
- Respond to and resolve patient and staff concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and promote a safe clinical environment.
- Facilitate communication between nursing staff, physicians, and administrative leadership to improve collaborative efforts.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience with at least two years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and hospital operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate nursing teams effectively.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare management software.
