Brief Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our RehabLiving at The Meadows. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care while demonstrating exemplary leadership and management capabilities. This role requires overseeing nursing operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering an environment that promotes professional development and excellence among nursing staff. The Assistant Director of Nursing will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals and administrative personnel to implement policies and procedures that enhance patient outcomes, maintain high standards of clinical practice, and support hospital objectives. A proactive approach in problem-solving and the ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment are essential. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a supportive and efficient nursing department aimed at meeting the complex needs of our patients and the community we serve. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in managing nursing staff and day-to-day operations within the nursing department.
  • Oversee the implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and support nursing staff development, training programs, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor patient care delivery and collaborate with healthcare teams to improve quality and safety.
  • Manage staffing schedules and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency and patient care.
  • Participate in budget planning, cost control, and resource management for the nursing department.
  • Respond to and resolve patient and staff concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and promote a safe clinical environment.
  • Facilitate communication between nursing staff, physicians, and administrative leadership to improve collaborative efforts.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience with at least two years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and hospital operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate nursing teams effectively.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare management software.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge.
