Valley for over 40 years. We’re hiring an Account Manager to own and grow our independent
foodservice business — restaurants, delis, caterers, specialty markets, and more across a
five-county territory.
This is a 50/50 role. Half your time managing and growing existing accounts. Half your time
hunting for new business. One day a week in the office for research, planning, and strategy.
You run your own territory, build your own relationships, and get paid for the growth you

What You Own
Existing Business: • A portfolio of independent accounts — visit regularly, grow their orders,

menus using our products • Cost analysis — show accounts the per-serving value of
premium vs. commodity • Brand standards — POS materials, signage, merchandising at
every account • Issue resolution — credits, shorts, delivery timing — handled quickly and
personally
New Business: • Prospect new accounts across the territory — cold calls, drop-ins,
referrals, networking • Product presentations and tastings — let the product sell itself •
Onboard new wins and make sure the first delivery is flawless • Build a pipeline and report
weekly on activity and results
Office Day: • Research new prospects, prep cost analyses and menu ideas • CRM updates,
pipeline tracking, competitive intel • Weekly territory report to ownership
What You Bring
understanding the customer’s business • You’re comfortable walking into any kitchen or deli
and starting a conversation • You understand food costs or can learn fast • Self-motivated
— nobody is going to manage your calendar for you • Valid driver’s license and reliable
personal vehicle • Hudson Valley relationships or knowledge of the food scene is a big plus
Pay
bonuses for new accounts, comp sales, and product placement targets • Commission on

off • Total compensation: $55–$65K base, $70–$80K with bonuses for strong performers

- $21–$23/hr — Foodservice or sales background, eager to build a book
- $23–$25/hr— Account management experience in food distribution or related field (sweet spot)
- $25–$27/hr — Proven track record growing independent foodservice accounts
