Job Title: Residential HVAC Lead InstallerLocation: San Jose, CAJob Type: Full-TimePay: $38-$60/hr (DOE) Performance BonusesPosition OverviewOur Client is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Lead Installer to lead residential HVAC installation projects from rough-in through final startup. The ideal candidate will have strong installation expertise, leadership skills, and experience working on residential new construction and retrofit projects while ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesLead residential HVAC installations from rough-in to final startup.Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and mini-split systems.Perform change-outs, system replacements, and new construction installations.Install ductwork, line sets, condensate drains, ventilation systems, and related components.Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and installation layouts.Ensure all work complies with local building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.Test, start up, and verify proper system operation, airflow, and performance.Coordinate with builders, project managers, inspectors, and homeowners.Supervise and mentor installation helpers and junior technicians.Complete installation documentation, checklists, and job reports accurately.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.Required Qualifications3 years of residential HVAC installation experience.Experience leading installation crews or working as a Lead Installer.Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and installation methods.Ability to read blueprints, layouts, and technical drawings.EPA Section 608 Certification (or willingness to obtain; company-sponsored).Valid driver's license with clean driving record.Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Preferred QualificationsNew construction HVAC experience.Experience with heat pumps and high-efficiency HVAC systems.Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge.Gas piping experience.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay plus performance bonuses.Company vehicle and gas card.Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.401(k) with company match.Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays.Career advancement and leadership opportunities.Ongoing training and certification support.Ideal Candidate Profile for RecruitingResidential HVAC Lead InstallerHVAC Install Technician LeadNew Construction HVAC InstallerHVAC Foreman / Crew LeadExperience with furnaces, AC systems, heat pumps, mini-splits, ductwork, and system startupsEPA CertifiedComfortable managing helpers and coordinating with builders/project managers.
