Cortland Park is seeking a motivated, experienced self-starter for a Staffing Coordinator position!
The Scheduler's primary responsibility is to review, identify and fill daily scheduling needs for the facility and promptly resolve staffing issues pertaining to absenteeism and maintain overall adequate staffing for the Nursing Department. The Staffing Coordinator will also act as the Administrative Assistant for the Director of Nursing and He/She will aide the Director of Nursing and the Director of Human Resources in recruitment and retention efforts.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Previous scheduling experience (preferred).
Experience:
- Prior experience working with the elderly and/or in long term care preferred.
- Familiarity working in a fast paced changing environment.
- Candidates with a CNA certification highly desired.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to handle stressful situations as they arise with a positive attitude.
- Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with resident, families, community members, volunteers and other staff members.
