Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support technical design, analysis, and project execution across utility-scale and industrial energy environments. Ideal candidates will have expertise in facility and infrastructure electrical systems ranging from low to medium voltage (50V–480V), with a strong understanding of power distribution, control systems, and code compliance.
This role is well-suited for engineers who thrive in multidisciplinary environments and enjoy working on mission-critical energy or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Design, plan, and oversee construction and maintenance of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- System Analysis: Analyze and solve complex electrical problems associated with the utility’s power grid.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety requirements.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports for power systems.
- Project Management: Manage energy conservation projects, including developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with a variety of stakeholders, including utility staff, contractors, vendors, and government agencies.
- Energy Efficiency: Analyze energy usage and identify opportunities for improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy engineering or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of energy systems and energy efficiency principles.
- Project Management: Experience conducting energy audits and implementing energy conservation projects.
- Communication: Good communication abilities, with the capacity to explain complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
- Advanced Education: Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in energy modeling software and other relevant tools.
- Field Experience: Experience with electrical design and control systems in the oil and gas industry.
