General Laborer - CES - Wixom, MI

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties including but not limited to cleaning, setting up, grounds and facility maintenance, closing and maintaining facilities to support the achievement of business goals and objectives. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Safely transfer bulk product from railcars to pneumatic (dry bulk) trailers using pumps, compressors, and associated equipment

Connect, monitor, and disconnect hoses, valves, and fittings to ensure proper product flow

Inspect railcars, trailers, and transloading equipment before, during, and after use

Maintain accurate documentation of product transfers and report any discrepancies or issues

Perform basic preventative maintenance and cleaning of transloading equipment and work areas

Travel to customer locations to install tank monitoring systems on fuel and fluid storage tanks

Diagnose and repair issues with sensors, wiring, and communication components

Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and testing to ensure accurate system performance

Troubleshoot field issues independently and complete service work with minimal supervision

Document all service activity clearly, including findings, corrective actions, and recommendations

Maintain professional communication with customers on-site

Perform general labor duties including cleaning, site setup, and facility/grounds maintenance

Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely and efficiently

Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks as needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times

Perform various levels of manual labor: operate a variety of light equipment

Ensure that all work is being done in compliance with company protocol

Proper safety and incident reporting procedures are to be followed at all times

Effectively handle lifting of various objects

Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents

Work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions

Operate various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly facility

Follow written and verbal instructions

Able to lift 60 pounds of necessary equipment; Able to push and pull 75 pounds

Handle exposure to dust, fumes, confined spaces and high noise levels

Demonstrate professionalism; be courteous and friendly to customers and co-workers at all times

Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies.

Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work

Good interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively perform responsibilities under a high level of stress

Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Other duties as assigned by management

Pass pre-employment drug screen and 7-year criminal background check.

Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
