Accounting and Billing Associate Job Description
Correct Rx is seeking a Billing Specialist to undertake billing operations in our accounting department. We’ll count on you to issue invoices with a high degree of accuracy to guarantee our revenue. You’ll also work with billing data and reports to help us track performance and identify issues early. Competence with Excel and other data management tools is important. Our Billing Specialist must have a keen eye for detail and be comfortable working with minimal supervision to meet tight deadlines. Your goal will be to monitor accounts receivable and ensure we bill our clients accurately.
Responsibilities
- Issue and distribute invoices
- Process new contracts and sales
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy
- Address client complaints and questions
- Assist in billing improvement projects
- Assist with customer account reconciliations
- Prepare and present analytical reports, including Excel-based summaries of billing and account activity
- Support monthly and quarterly audits and cleanups
- Resolve any issues or mistakes
Skills
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar accounting role
- Proficiency in electronic billing procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Comfortable using formulas, filters, pivot tables, and functions like VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP to organize and review billing data
- Comfortable working with databases and billing/accounting software; familiarity with SQL or other query tools is a plus, not required
- Strong analytical skills; able to compile, interpret, and clearly present data in reports
- Excellent communication ability

- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- BS/BA in accounting or a similar field is preferred
- Pharmacy experience is not required but is a plus
