Key Responsibilities
- Claims Management: Oversee the electronic claims cycle, including clearinghouse processing, routing, and proprietary pre-remittance edits.
- Payment Posting: Manage EOB indexing, imaging, and daily reconciliation to ensure accounts are balanced.
- Secondary Filing: Efficiently match claims with documentation and file with secondary payers.
- A/R & Patient Billing: Manage patient statements and resolve charge issues.
- Account Resolution: Proactively research and correct issues across accounts to ensure a healthy A/R cycle.
Qualifications:
- Up-to 1 year of experience required
- Career Institute for Medical Billing and Coding will be considered
- Knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with CPT, ICD-10 codes and modifiers, understanding of insurance verification and authorizations and ability to interpret explanation of benefits.
- Experienced with claim submissions, claim denials, claim follow-up, appeals, collections and knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers
