Billing Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to efficiently manage billing operations and ensure accuracy in processing invoices for both internal and external customers. This is a direct-hire position with a growing company based in Anne Arundel County, MD! This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments to provide exceptional service. Key Responsibilities:

• Generate and submit accurate invoices to customers
• Review contracts and change orders to ensure proper billing compliance
• Work closely with internal and external teams to gather necessary billing information
• Track and follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve billing discrepancies
• Maintain billing schedules and ensure deadlines are met
• Coordinate with the accounting team on accounts receivable and collections
• Respond to client inquiries regarding billing and payment status
• Assist in monthly closing processes and provide billing reports as needed
• Ensure billing procedures comply with internal controls and company policies
• Maintain organized billing records and documentation for audits and internal use

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of billing, invoicing, or accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• High level of integrity and discretion with financial data
