Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Innsbrook, VA (On-Site)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full-Time, On-Site
Salary Range: $55,000 – $75,000 per year
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in our Innsbrook, VA office. This role will support a variety of HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and HRIS administration. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of HR Generalist experience and hands-on experience with ADP WorkforceNow. This position requires a highly organized professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building positive relationships across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR-related questions and concerns.
- Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
- Facilitate onboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records, payroll and ensure data integrity within ADP WorkforceNow.
- Process employee status changes, terminations, promotions, and organizational updates in the HRIS.
- Support benefits administration, including employee enrollments, qualifying life events, and annual open enrollment.
- Assist managers and employees with performance management processes and employee relations matters.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Generate HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics as needed.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities.
- Assist with payroll-related administration to ensure accuracy.
- Support HR projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2–3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience, multi-state experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ADP WorkforceNow required, payroll experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
- Understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Human Resources certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar) preferred.
- Experience supporting payroll processes and HR reporting.
- Experience in a multi-site or growing organization.
