Role Summary
MediDrive is seeking a Field Monitor to support the Colorado Medicaid Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) program by conducting vehicle inspections and ensuring ongoing compliance with safety and maintenance standards. This role is responsible for performing virtual inspections prior to vehicle approval, coordinating annual re-inspections, and conducting random in-person audits across the transportation provider network.
The Field Monitor plays a critical role in ensuring all vehicles meet contractual, regulatory, and MediDrive safety standards, contributing to safe and reliable transportation for members.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle inspections prior to approval for service, ensuring all required documentation and safety standards are met.
- Perform annual re-inspections using approved technology and documentation methods in accordance with Colorado Medicaid requirements.
- Conduct random vehicle audits across the transportation provider network to validate ongoing compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Ensure all vehicles meet ADA, DOT, and program-specific requirements related to accessibility, safety equipment, and operational readiness.
- Maintain detailed inspection records, including photos, documentation, and compliance checklists to support audit readiness.
- Document inspection findings and escalate non-compliance issues to the Safety Manager for corrective action.
- Track inspection schedules to ensure all vehicles remain compliant with required timelines.
- Work directly with transportation providers to communicate inspection requirements, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
- Provide guidance to providers on vehicle safety standards, maintenance expectations, and compliance requirements.
- Support re-inspection and follow-up processes to ensure deficiencies are resolved timely.
- Ensure adherence to Colorado Medicaid NEMT contract requirements, including virtual inspection protocols and random audit expectations.
- Partner with Safety, Network, and Operations teams to address compliance trends and improve provider performance.
- Assist in investigations related to vehicle safety concerns, complaints, or incidents.
- Additional Duties: Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in vehicle inspections, transportation safety, compliance, or field auditing.
- Experience in NEMT, Medicaid transportation, fleet management, or regulatory compliance preferred.
- Familiarity with ADA accessibility standards, vehicle safety requirements, and inspection protocols preferred.
- Experience conducting virtual inspections or using digital audit tools is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel regularly across Colorado.
