About the Opportunity
CornerStone Technology Talent Services is partnering with a growing organization to hire a Help Desk Representative to join its internal IT team. As the first point of contact for IT support, you'll play a critical role in keeping employees productive by resolving hardware, software, and systems-related issues. You'll work closely with experienced IT professionals, gain exposure to a wide variety of technologies, and contribute to projects that improve the organization's overall technology environment.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal IT support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Perform initial triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of hardware, software, network, and application issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, patch, and upgrade desktops, laptops, peripherals, and supported software.
- Support Microsoft Windows workstations and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook in Microsoft 365/Exchange environments.
- Assist with user account provisioning, system updates, mobile device support, and basic server administration tasks.
- Track service requests through resolution while maintaining accurate documentation and ticket updates.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate technical resources when necessary.
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles and technical documentation.
- Participate in IT projects and technology rollouts.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT support.
- Provide periodic after-hours or weekend on-call support as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 3-7 years of experience in a Help Desk, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support role.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across Windows desktop environments.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook in Microsoft 365 or Exchange.
- Experience supporting laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and common end-user technologies.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, account administration, and basic server support.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small IT team.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A , Network , or other industry-recognized IT certifications.
- Experience working within a Windows Server environment.
- Exposure to IT infrastructure projects and systems administration.
- Experience creating technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
