SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – GEOTECHNICAL & MATERIALS
Location: Tucson, AZ | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
•$100,000-$125,000

ROLE IMPACT
The Senior Project Manager will lead a regional geotechnical and materials testing division, overseeing technical operations, business growth, and team leadership. This role drives both project excellence and profitability by ensuring efficient resource management, strong client partnerships, and high-quality deliverables. Success is measured by team development, operational performance, and client satisfaction.
KEY DUTIES
• Manage multiple geotechnical and materials testing projects from proposal through completion, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Oversee technical and field staff, subcontractors, and consultants to maintain quality, compliance, and safety standards.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, and scope, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Develop client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to proposal and bid development.
• Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous professional development within the team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or related Engineering discipline.
• 10 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, materials testing, or construction QA/QC.
• Minimum 5 years of proven project management experience leading technical teams.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects and achieve operational and financial goals.
EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Standard office and field project settings; occasional exposure to outdoor environments.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs and conduct on-site inspections.
• Regular travel within the region to client sites and project locations.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Expertise in soil mechanics, foundation design, and construction materials testing.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience in regional business development and client retention strategies.
