Material Handler
Location: Grand Prairie, Texas 75050 | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $18.00 per hour
• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–1:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
• Guaranteed 30 hours per week starting out; transition to 40 hours per week
• Temp-to-Hire (W2)
ROLE IMPACT
The Material Handler supports warehouse operations by moving, sorting, and processing large appliances to ensure efficient workflow and accurate inventory handling. Success in this role means maintaining a safe work environment, supporting timely truck loading and unloading, and correctly identifying reusable versus scrap materials. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards.
Key Duties
• Separate washers and dryers into reusable units or scrap materials
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts (powered industrial trucks) and pallet jacks
• Move materials throughout the warehouse using dollies and material handling equipment
• Maintain organized staging areas and follow safety protocols
Minimum Qualifications
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift
• Forklift experience preferred (certification or hands-on operation of powered industrial trucks)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and follow safety procedures
Equipment & Work Environment
• Forklifts (powered industrial trucks) – training provided
• Pallet jacks and dollies
• Warehouse environment with standing, walking, and material handling throughout shift
• Frequent lifting, bending, and moving large appliances
• Non-Climate Control Facility. Will have fans
Preferred Skills
• Prior warehouse or material handling experience
• Experience loading and unloading freight
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
