ROLE IMPACT
Support efficient warehouse and shipping operations by safely loading customer shipments and preparing pallets for transit. Success in this role means shipments are secured correctly, work areas remain clean and safe, and daily quality and productivity standards are consistently met.
KEY DUTIES
• Load trucks with customer shipments and build pallets for designated shipping zones.
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent products from shifting or becoming damaged in transit.
• Identify and properly handle hazmat and cooler shipments according to established procedures.
• Dispose of boxes, packaging, and shipping materials appropriately to maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Follow workplace policies, safety procedures, quality standards, and productivity expectations while supporting special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable work experience.
• Basic reading, writing, math, and communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and manage multiple assignments.
• Ability to differentiate hazmat and cooler shipments.
EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Warehouse and shipping environment
• Pallets, shipping boxes, strapping, bracing, and protective packaging materials
• Truck loading and shipment staging areas
• Hazmat and temperature-controlled/cooler shipments
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Knowledge of basic warehousing operations.
• Experience with pallet building, truck loading, or shipping operations.
• Strong attention to shipment accuracy, safety, and quality.
