Front Desk Receptionist or Medical Assistant

Overview

CoreMed Plus is seeking a reliable, organized, and patient-focused Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant to join our busy Internal Medicine practice in multiple locations. This role supports both front desk operations and clinical functions, ensuring an efficient workflow and a high-quality patient experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, be proficient in Athena EHR, and demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Front Desk / Reception Duties:

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
• Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics
• Answer phone calls and assist with patient inquiries
• Collect copays and manage front desk documentation
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system

Medical Assistant Duties:

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Prepare patients for examinations
• Assist providers during visits as needed
• Administer injections and perform basic clinical tasks (if certified)
• Document patient information in EMR
• Maintain exam room cleanliness and supplies

• Previous experience in a medical office (required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Experience with Athena EHR (required)
• Medical Assistant certification (preferred but not required depending on role)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
