What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Recovery Specialist position at Corecare Systems Inc?
The Certified Recovery Specialist will provide direct care to patients who are managing addictive disease disorders, chemical dependency problems, psychiatric disorders and other illnesses. The Certified Recovery Specialist, working under the direction of the clinical team, will perform the following duties:
- Assist in the scheduling appointments and linkages to community services.
- Participate in facilitating the program graduation ceremony
- Co-facilitate groups
- Escort patients to appointments
- Support patients and assist in processing patients after family visits
- Work with clinical team in efforts to bring in resources
- Utilize a trauma informed approach in all client interactions
- Adhere to the organizations infectious control policies and standards
- Document observed patient behaviors
- Perform clinical interventions as needed
- Provide positive feedback to patients in a thoughtful and positive manner
- Act as a positive role model
- Possess knowledge of addiction concepts and effects of alcohol and drugs on adults
- Follow protocols to ensure a hazard free environment
- Assisting doctors while seeing patients
