EHSS Supervisor (Safety, Health, Environmental & Security)
Location: General Escobedo, Nuevo León
Reports to: HR Manager
Language Requirement: Bilingual – English/Spanish required
Summary
Core Molding Technologies is hiring an EHSS Supervisor to lead safety, health, environmental, and security programs at our Monterrey manufacturing facility. This role ensures a safe and compliant work environment, drives a proactive safety culture, and maintains alignment with national regulations and corporate EHSS policies.
You’ll lead risk assessments, compliance audits, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives to protect our people, facilities, and environment while ensuring smooth operations for our recreational vehicle industry customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHSS policies, procedures, and preventive programs that promote a culture of safety and sustainability
- Ensure compliance with Mexican labor, environmental, and civil protection laws (STPS, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, IMSS, etc.)
- Lead ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 documentation, audits, and system compliance
- Coordinate emergency response teams, safety brigades, and internal safety committees
- Conduct planned and unplanned EHSS audits across all departments
- Oversee risk assessments and safety inspections, proposing mitigation strategies
- Manage hazardous waste and ensure proper environmental disposal practices
- Deliver employee safety training (PPE, hygiene, hazard control, etc.)
- Lead incident investigations and follow-up corrective/preventive actions
- Supervise security and facility cleaning services
- Report and track safety KPIs; publish results on communication boards
- Monitor legal updates, maintain documentation for compliance
- Support onboarding safety orientation for new hires, contractors, and return-to-work programs
- Lead civil protection planning and training (evacuation drills, emergency protocols)
- Serve as main contact for government inspections and corporate safety audits
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Health, Safety, or related field
- 3 years of EHSS experience in a manufacturing setting (plastic industry preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Mexican EHSS laws and standards
- Strong experience with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 systems
- First Aid certified
- Fluent in English and Spanish (technical and professional communication)
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
