Core Molding Technologies is hiring a Logistics Supervisor to oversee shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material flow operations.
In this role, you’ll lead daily logistics activities, manage a team of logistics personnel, and ensure the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials. You’ll play a key role in meeting customer delivery expectations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving continuous improvement across logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
- Lead, train, and develop logistics team members; manage performance and accountability
- Ensure on-time shipping performance aligned with customer schedules and service requirements
- Oversee accurate and timely processing of all shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions in ERP systems
- Ensure materials are received, stored, and delivered to production in a timely manner
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material control, cycle counts, and physical inventories
- Coordinate with Customer Service, Purchasing, and Production to align priorities and schedules
- Manage carrier relationships, scheduling, and dock activity to avoid delays and detention charges
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local transportation and safety regulations
- Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and internal procedures
- Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment (6S)
- Lead daily team meetings and drive performance against KPIs
- Analyze logistics data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Resolve operational issues quickly to minimize disruption to production and customer delivery
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
- 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations
- At least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. transportation regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with ERP, WMS, or logistics systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environments
- Familiarity with Lean, 6S, FIFO, or continuous improvement practices
- Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
- APICS, CSCMP, or similar supply chain certification
