Responsibilities
- Manage the project buy-out process, including bid packages, RFPs, contracts, scopes of work, and work orders.
- Collaborate with superintendents to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Work with design teams to review plans, resolve design clashes, and ensure project alignment.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports.
- Proficiently work with control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment, troubleshooting process control systems such as control valves, flow meters, sensors, actuators, and leak switches.
- Support controls group in troubleshooting, upgrading, and installing systems by interpreting manuals, circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience with low voltage systems such as building automation, security, and data communication networks.
- Interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and P&IDs for installation and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment, process skids, and manufacturing equipment.
- Coordinate with teams to ensure project specifications are met and safety standards are upheld.
- 5 years of experience specializing in low voltage and controls systems, including Life Safety Systems (HAZMAT).
- 10 years of experience managing construction projects in large industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and P&ID diagrams, including motor controls, drives, and electronic components.
- Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems from 24VDC to 480VAC.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, P6, and tools like Excel and AutoCAD.
- OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certifications are preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA) and best practices.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and blueprints effectively.
