Job Summary
Performs high-level preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and gasoline- and diesel-powered material handling and construction equipment, including mobile hydraulic cranes (up to 50 tons), container handlers, forklifts (4k–10k), tractors, power shovels, road machinery, air compressors, and concrete mixers.
Troubleshoots and repairs MVAC systems. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Performs operator, intermediate, and limited major rebuild levels of maintenance, including spot painting. Provides technical guidance and training to lower-level mechanics and assists senior mechanics.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four years of directly related work experience
- Completion of a Basic Engineer Equipment Mechanics Course or equivalent
- Completion of MVAC course with a valid certification
- Ability to use technical manuals, specifications, and measuring instruments
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a Tactical Operator License as required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to follow established methods, safety standards, quality standards, and timelines
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and base access
