Director of Marine Regulatory Development Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of marine regulatory strategies for port and waterway infrastructure projects.
- Manage federal and state permitting processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Coast Guard, and other regulatory bodies.
- Oversee stakeholder engagement, fostering strong relationships with community leaders, port authorities, and industry partners.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for project planning, budgeting, and regulatory approval processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of regulatory, engineering, and project management professionals.
- Represent the organization at high-level meetings, industry forums, and public hearings related to maritime infrastructure development.
Director of Marine Regulatory Development Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in marine, port infrastructure, dredging, or related industries.
- Deep knowledge of federal permitting, regulatory compliance, and waterway management.
- Proven success in managing complex infrastructure projects and navigating regulatory landscapes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Professional licensure (e.g., PE license) or project management certification is a plus.
