This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance, and efficiency during a transitional period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Lead internal controls review and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring continuity and knowledge transfer.
- Support ERP system optimization and process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including prior Controller or Assistant Controller roles.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience in the financial services industry is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
