Job Overview
We’re hiring a Cook to join our kitchen team! In this role, you’ll prepare and cook a variety of dishes, from breakfast favorites to lunch specials, while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. You’ll work closely with our team to ensure every plate leaving the kitchen meets our standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Preparing ingredients
- Cooking meals, and plating dishes according to our recipes and standards.
- Assisting with inventory management, including stocking and rotating supplies.
- Following food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen.
- Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Maintaining a positive and team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 1 year of cooking experience in a café, restaurant, or similar setting (preferred but not required for the right candidate).
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Availability to work mornings, weekends, and some evenings (flexible scheduling).
Nice if you also have:
- Experience with baking, pastry, or specialty coffee.
- Familiarity with local, seasonal, or farm-to-table ingredients.
