Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Line Cook to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and helping in the kitchen during peak hours.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and support during busy periods.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management by reporting low stock levels of cleaning supplies or kitchen tools.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, School or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food service operations, including food preparation and cooking processes, is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various roles within the kitchen as needed.
