IBHS Clinician

CORA has a Full-time opening for an IBHS Clinician to carry a varied caseload and provide Behavior Consultation or Mobile Therapy services for assigned clients. When assigned as a Behavior Consultant, the IBHS Clinician will assist in the design and implementation of treatment plans and other intervention plans, as well as direct the quality of the treatment activities of the Mobile Therapists and Behavioral Health Technicians. When assigned as a Mobile Therapist, the IBHS Clinician will provide individual and family therapy to assigned clients.

Starting pay rate: $35.55 (Unlicensed) Pay rate commensurate with credentials/experience

In addition, as an IBHS Clinician your duties will include:

• Foster a strengths based, trauma-informed, and accountable relationship with families and the treatment team.
• Provide mobile delivery of clinical services as defined by the program description, best practice standards and in full compliance with licensure standards.
• Meet with the child, family, school staff and other involved persons to develop treatment goals, objectives and interventions that are developmentally appropriate, strengths based, and fit the particular needs of the child and family.
• Participate as a member of the treatment team by providing service directly to the child and/or family in the home, school, or other community programs or settings.
• Complete Functional Behavior Assessments and utilize data for the purpose of progress monitoring and revision of treatment interventions.
• Monitor data and implementation to assess the effectiveness of behavior intervention strategies to address challenging behaviors.
• Coordinate the overall clinical direction of treatment for the children assigned to caseload, in collaboration with family and other treatment professionals.
• Serve as a resource to the child, family, treatment team, school and Behavioral Health Technicians in crisis and problem situations to develop a crisis plan and resolution.
• Collaborate with schools, families, funding source representatives and internal/external resources as appropriate.
• Provide clinical supervision for the assigned Behavioral Health Technicians, providing guidance and support in delivery of services.
• Work cooperatively with school staff to promote positive behavior by providing professional development that targets research, strategies, and modeling evidence-based practices to support teachers in their implementation or positive behavior support in their classrooms.
• Conduct quality individual and family therapy, with a clinically appropriate balance between both modalities.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, including but not limited to progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and discharge summaries.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess one of the following sets of credentials:

• A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work or counseling from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation;

OR

• Completion of a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree with a least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• At least 1 year providing mental health services to children, youth and young adults.
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Comfortable working in Electronic Health Record systems
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel
• Ability to utilize collaborative, team-oriented approaches to treatment.
• Knowledge and understanding of CASSP Principles.
• Understanding of cognitive-behavioral theory and clinical application.
• Understanding of child and family development and family systems.
• Experience with crisis intervention and crisis management.
• Knowledge of DSM-V
• Basic knowledge/understanding of common psychotropic medications.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
