The ERP Integration Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability between the university's ERP systems, primarily PeopleSoft and Workday, as well as other critical applications. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions that support the university's business processes and enhance overall system functionality. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in ERP systems, integration technologies, and data management, with a focus on optimizing system performance and user experience.Key Responsibilities:
Integration Development and Management:
- Design, develop, and implement robust integration solutions between PeopleSoft, Workday, and other university systems.
- Utilize APIs, web services, middleware, and other integration tools to facilitate data exchange and system interoperability.
- Ensure integration solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the university’s IT architecture and strategy.
System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor integration processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues promptly to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates to integration systems to ensure they remain current and functional.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with university departments, other teams within the Division of Information Technology, and external vendors to understand integration requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders on best practices for system integration and data management.
- Document integration processes and create user guides to support ongoing operations and training.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Ensure data integrity across integrated systems by developing and implementing data validation and error-handling processes.
- Collaborate with the reporting team to ensure accurate data is available for reporting and decision-making purposes.
- Support the development of reports that rely on integrated data from multiple systems.
Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate existing integration processes and identify opportunities for improvement or optimization.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in ERP systems and integration methodologies.
- Participate in project planning and implementation efforts related to system upgrades, new integrations, or enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience in ERP system integration, with a focus on PeopleSoft and Workday.
- Proficiency in integration technologies such as APIs, web services, middleware, and ETL tools.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
- Experience with data mapping, transformation, and validation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of higher education business processes.
