Delivery Driver – Stake Bed | No CDL Required

Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. is looking for a reliable and safety-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. This position will deliver and pick up products from customers, branches, and suppliers using a stake-bed truck.

No CDL is required for this position. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a clean, satisfactory driving record. Because this position may require access to military installations, candidates must also be able to meet the driving and background requirements necessary to enter military bases.

A DOT Medical Card is required for this position. If you do not currently have one, we can help you obtain it.

What You'll Do

• Deliver and pick up products from customers, branches, and suppliers.
• Drive a stake-bed delivery truck safely and responsibly.
• Follow delivery schedules and priorities provided by warehouse supervisors.
• Safely load, unload, secure, and transport products.
• Verify that cargo is properly secured before and during transportation.
• Obtain customer signatures and maintain required delivery and receiving paperwork.
• Use RF scanners to document orders loaded onto the truck and completed deliveries.
• Communicate with warehouse, receiving, shipping, dispatch, and order-pulling teams to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Report safety hazards, vehicle concerns, and delivery delays to your supervisor promptly.
• Maintain a clean and professional delivery vehicle.

Vehicle & Safety Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in good condition.
• Ensure vehicle registration, insurance information, logs, and other required documentation are current.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable DOT regulations.
• Use required personal protective equipment and safe lifting and loading practices.

What We're Looking For

• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Clean and satisfactory driving record (MVR).
• Ability to meet requirements for access to military bases, including applicable background and driving requirements.
• Current DOT Medical Card, or willingness to obtain one with our assistance.
• No CDL required.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and dependable.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while also working effectively with the warehouse team.
• Previous delivery, warehouse, route driving, or industrial distribution experience is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on delivery and warehouse position. You must be able to:

• Sit and drive for extended periods.
• Frequently enter and exit the delivery vehicle.
• Climb, crouch, squat, bend, and reach.
• Load and unload products safely.
• Frequently lift boxes and products weighing 50 lbs. or more.
• Push and move products weighing up to approximately 80 lbs.
• Safely climb onto and work around the delivery truck and secured loads when necessary.

Schedule & Overtime

• Shift requirements may vary at certain times of the year to meet customer needs.
• Overtime may be required and must be authorized by a supervisor.
