Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and processing accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
- Receive, review, and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to verify accuracy.
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
Payment Management:
- Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve invoice/payment issues with vendors.
Vendor Relations:
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Address and resolve discrepancies or disputes with vendors professionally.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems preferred, such as Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Key Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of transactions and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
