PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Maintain current information relating to employee absences and process bi-weekly payroll. Works under payroll manager supervision following established procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED
Associates Degree desired
EXPERIENCE:
Three years of general business experience, preferably in school business
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll
Process bi-weekly Payroll and related reports.
Coordinate with substitute specialist and review comp balances and timesheets for accuracy.
Assist Payroll Manager with miscellaneous payroll duties.
Process special pays for all payrolls.
Oversee Timekeeping System, maintain accurate employee information and provide reports to management.
Provide dock pay information to Payroll Manager in a timely manner.
Resolve and respond to employee inquiries regarding leave or pay.
TRS:
Prepare time entry records for state reporting.
Prepare ER (employment after retirement) records.
Prepare paraprofessional actual hours reporting.
Learn ED (employee demographics) reporting.
Benefits:
Assist with open enrollment.
Assist with benefits changes within the payroll.
Backup Benefits Manager.
Other Responsibilities
Review all personnel actions.
Assist with FMLA and Worker’s Comp processes as they relate to payroll.
Assist with reviewing employee absence records in Munis for accuracy.
Communicate with all district staff to ensure accuracy of bi-weekly payroll and respond to Employee Self-Service inquiries.
