Job Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Plan, direct, and manage all aspects of bridge projects, including culverts and related infrastructure, ensuring coordination with public agencies and permitting bodies
- Structural Analysis: Lead the design and analysis of existing and proposed structures, utilizing industry-standard software and PennDOT-specific programs
- Inspection & Reporting: Direct bridge inspection programs and prepare comprehensive technical reports in compliance with state standards
- Financial Oversight: Manage project financials, ensuring strict adherence to budgets, schedules, and contractual requirements
- Construction Support: Provide critical support during the construction phase, including contract administration, permitting, and budget control
- Business Development: Prepare competitive project proposals and represent the firm within professional organizations like ASCE and NSPE to expand client relationships
- Team Development: Progress into a mentorship role, managing a team of Structural Engineers and Designers with responsibility for utilization and overhead performance
Education & Licensing
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil or Structural Engineering is required
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Pennsylvania is REQUIRED
- New Jersey PE registration is highly preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) or more years of relevant bridge and structural engineering experience
- Proven track record working with local and state agencies (counties, municipalities)
- Prior involvement in PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike projects is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in client management across the full project lifecycle
- Excellent leadership, project management, and technical communication skills
- Solid understanding of structural engineering contractual requirements and compliance
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and structural design software

Salary : $145,000 - $185,000
