This highly technical role performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures, and also applies ionizing radiation for radiographic purposes to assist in detecting pathology. The Technologist operates and regulates specialized equipment to produce and process both magnetic and X-ray images, ensuring their accurate organization within the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).

The Technologist operates and regulates specialized equipment to produce and process both magnetic and X-ray images, ensuring their accurate organization within the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
Job Responsibilities
- Perform complex MRI procedures, applying advanced magnetic resonance imaging techniques for diagnostic purposes
- Regulate and operate specialized equipment used to produce and process magnetic images and traditional X-ray images
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI concepts across the head, neck, body, MSK, spine, and specialized MRI imaging
- Ensure all imaging is conducted with the utmost regard for patient safety, quality standards, and adherence to established protocols
- Process and organize diagnostic images within the PACS system for timely review by the Radiologist
- Collaborate effectively with the Radiologist and medical team to ensure procedures are completed accurately and efficiently
- Maintain all necessary documentation and records related to procedures performed and equipment utilized
Education
- Associate Degree or equivalent in Radiological Technology is required
- Minimum of one (1) year of MRI experience is REQUIRED
- Three (3) years of MRI experience is preferred
- ARRT (R) - Radiographer and ARRT (MR) - MRI certifications are REQUIRED
- Florida State Registered Radiologic Technician License is required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required
- Comprehensive knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI concepts across multiple body regions (head, neck, body, MSK, spine)
- Proven technical proficiency in operating MRI and X-ray equipment
- Strong ability to process and organize diagnostic images within a PACS environment

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
