Job Responsibilities
- Clinical Consultation: Engage with patients to diagnose complex gastrointestinal health concerns and determine optimized courses of treatment
- Procedural Mastery: Perform high-volume endoscopic procedures of the digestive tract and colonoscopies at both the hospital and the ambulatory surgery center
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Act as a specialist consultant to primary care physicians and other medical specialists to ensure holistic patient care
- Data Synthesis: Analyze patient historical data and specialized test results to manage chronic and acute GI conditions
- Patient Continuity: Maintain a consistent patient schedule while ensuring thorough follow-up and treatment adjustment based on clinical outcomes
Education & Certification
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) is REQUIRED
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine is REQUIRED
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology is REQUIRED
- Procedural Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in performing endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures
- Clinical Excellence: Strong history of evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
