Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

CooperDouglas is partnering with a high-growth company on a confidential search for a Director of FP&A to lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business performance analysis across the organization. This role is designed for a strategic yet hands on finance leader who can drive financial visibility, support executive decision-making, and build scalable planning processes within a fast-paced environment.

The Director of FP&A will serve as a key business partner to executive leadership and play a central role in budgeting, forecasting, operational analysis, and strategic planning initiatives. This position offers significant exposure to senior leadership, private equity stakeholders, and cross-functional operations during an exciting stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead companywide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
• Develop and oversee financial models, operating forecasts, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Analyze monthly operating performance, identify key business drivers, and deliver actionable insights to executive leadership
• Partner closely with accounting during month-end close to support accrual analysis, variance reporting, and financial accuracy
• Build and enhance management reporting packages, dashboards, KPIs, and executive presentations
• Drive customer, product line, and operational profitability analysis across the business
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership teams to align financial strategy with operational objectives
• Support board reporting, lender reporting, strategic initiatives, and ad hoc financial analysis
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and scalability across FP&A and reporting functions
• Mentor and develop finance team members while helping establish structure and accountability within the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
• 10 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance experience
• Prior leadership or team management experience preferred
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities
• Experience within a high-growth or private equity-backed environment preferred
• NetSuite experience highly preferred
• Experience with BI, reporting, or data visualization tools is a plus
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence executive leadership
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment

Compensation up to $185,000 Bonus

This is a fully onsite role based in Carson, California.
