CooperDouglas has partnered with an established appliances company to find their next VP of Business Development with strong leadership experience. This role will lead business development across major retail channels, with a strong focus on deepening existing big box relationships, expanding product penetration, and driving omnichannel growth. We are looking for a leader who can materially grow revenue by expanding existing retail relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive growth across existing big box and mass retail accounts
- Leading an established sales team
- Expand product assortment and increase shelf space within current retail partners
- Strengthen and deepen relationships with key buyers and decision-makers
- Lead account strategy focused on increasing volume, mix, and profitability within existing channels
- Manage and grow a high-performing sales and account management team
- Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, and finance to support demand planning and execution
- Navigate peak season planning and execution, ensuring alignment across inventory, logistics, and retail demand cycles
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional product lines within current accounts
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and program expansions with retail partners
- Deliver forecasting and planning aligned with company growth targets
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in business development or sales leadership within hardware products, appliances, manufacturing, CPG, or outdoor furniture
- 5 years of experience managing and leading sales teams
- Experience working with mass retail and big box retailers including Home Depot, Costco, and Walmart
- Proven track record of growing and expanding existing big box and mass retail accounts
- Strong understanding of omnichannel retail, including e-commerce
- Experience managing peak season demand cycles and large retail programs
- Demonstrated leadership experience building and managing high-performing teams
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive growth and margin within existing accounts
- Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
This position is on-site in Ontario, CA. Compensation for this role is $180K-$250K Bonus & excellent benefits depending on experience.
