- Participate in meal planning for assigned residential program(s), taking into consideration meals you enjoy preparing, as well as the preferences of individuals served.
- Prepare chosen family-style meals for individuals and staff.
- Interact with staff and individuals before, during, and after meal time.
- Clean the kitchen and dining areas after meals as needed.
- Advocate on behalf of each person served.
- Communicate and meet regularly with the Program Director, Program Coordinator, and Division Manager.
- Know and understand the dietary restrictions of those served.
- Assist in creating a home environment that reflects that people are valued and reflects the individual’s preferences and personality.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of those served.
- Act as a positive role model in dress, hygiene, demeanor, and behavior.
- Uphold and comply with all safety programs and policies to maintain a safe environment for the people we support, employees, family members, and visitors.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
- Department of Developmental Services: 1 year (Preferred)
- MUST HAVE A VALID CPR AND FIRST AID CERTIFICATION BEFORE DATE OF HIRE
