Responsibilities:
- Core Accounting: Manage and reconcile the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Rental Operations Support: Track rental contracts, deposits, damages, and billing. Record equipment purchases, depreciation, and disposals.
- Cash & Credit Management: Oversee bank reconciliations and cash flow. Support collections and assist with managing customer credit limits.
- Compliance & Reporting: Assist with tax filings (sales/use, payroll, and annual returns) and audits. Maintain accurate and timely financial records.
- Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Contribute to budget preparation, forecasts, and performance reporting to inform strategic decisions.
- Payroll Assistance: Support payroll processing and related employee expenses.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience (staff accountant level and above considered). Prior experience in rental, construction, or service industries is advantageous but not required.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Acumatica, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to a growing company.
- Strong attention to detail, balanced with efficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Benefits:
- Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience.
