Position Overview
The Quality Engineer will support manufacturing quality operations and help ensure products, materials, and processes consistently meet customer and engineering standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role will partner closely with Production, Engineering, and Suppliers to drive quality improvements, investigate issues, and strengthen manufacturing processes in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the site Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 processes.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action (CAPA) activities using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone.
- Support IQC, IPQC, Final Inspection, and MRB activities to ensure product quality throughout production.
- Analyze quality data, defect trends, and SPC metrics to identify improvement opportunities and reduce quality escapes.
- Assist with inspection plans, quality documentation, and First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.
- Partner with Manufacturing and Production teams to promote a “Quality at the Source” culture.
- Support supplier quality activities, audits, and issue resolution.
- Help maintain audit readiness and support ISO/customer audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 3–5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with RCA methodologies, CAPA, SPC, and quality systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and manufacturing quality processes.
- Experience with precision measurement tools and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in electronics, PC hardware, or consumer technology manufacturing is highly preferred.
- ASQ CQE certification is a plus.
