Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Strategic Procurement Specialist to manage both direct and indirect procurement across a wide range of commodities, services, and equipment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, independent judgment, and the ability to balance priorities between our Katy site and Asian factories.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute procurement activities using SAP ERP (Buyer module) for both direct and indirect categories.
- Source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
- Analyze and prioritize global requests, avoiding reactive decision-making by applying sound judgment and data-driven insights.
- Troubleshoot procurement and supply chain issues, escalating critical matters as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with operational needs.
- Communicate effectively within the team, raising questions or seeking input on high-impact tasks or projects.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new categories, suppliers, and market conditions.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of procurement experience in computer, electronics, or hardware manufacturing.
- Proficiency with SAP ERP (Buyer module).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while fostering team collaboration.
- Flexible across diverse commodities and eager to grow professionally.
- Bilingual in Mandarin, able to speak, read and write.
