What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Coordinator position at COOK'S CLIFFSIDE AUTOMOTIVE LLC?
About the Role
Cook’s Cliffside Automotive is a trusted, family-owned independent auto repair shop serving our local community with honest, high-quality service. We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable Service Advisor to be the welcoming face of our shop. You’ll act as the key bridge between our customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring every vehicle owner feels heard, informed, and confident in the work we do.
What You’ll Do
- Greet customers warmly (in-person and by phone), listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and help diagnose issues through questions, visual inspections, or test drives.
- Write clear, accurate repair orders and provide honest cost estimates for maintenance and repairs.
- Explain technical recommendations in simple, understandable terms and advise on routine maintenance to keep vehicles safe and reliable.
- Coordinate with technicians to schedule work, order parts when needed, and keep customers updated on progress and any changes.
- Handle check-in/check-out, process payments, and ensure a smooth, positive experience from drop-off to pickup.
- Build long-term customer relationships by delivering exceptional service in a no-pressure, community-focused environment.
- Maintain accurate records and support the team in a busy, hands-on shop setting.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in automotive customer service (preferred but not always required — we value the right attitude).
- Strong communication and people skills — you enjoy helping others and explaining things clearly.
- Basic automotive knowledge (or willingness to learn quickly) — familiarity with common repairs, maintenance schedules, and vehicle systems.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced independent shop.
- Positive, honest, and team-player mindset.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay with opportunities for growth in a locally owned business.
- Supportive team environment with skilled technicians and a focus on work-life balance.
- Ongoing training and the chance to grow with a respected local shop.
- Pride in serving your community without high-pressure sales targets.
If you’re a people-person who loves cars and wants to play a vital role in keeping our neighbors’ vehicles running safely, we’d love to meet you!
