The Opportunity:
Contractor Nation (formerly Basement Systems Inc.) manufactures and distributes the products we use in our business to a network of home repair contractors across North America and beyond (B-2-B, Business to Business). On the B-2-C (Business to Customer) side of the business, Contractor Nation Partnerships is a basement waterproofing, foundation repair, and concrete leveling industry. And we have dealers across the country that we own! We are building our company and looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist for our team on the B-2-C side.
Primary job duties & Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate must have experience in accounts payable processing. Including but not limited to invoice processing and coding, proper approvals for payment, and weekly check runs.
- Handle manual check requests
- Responsible for coding all credit card transactions and posting to QuickBooks
- Respond to all vendor inquiries
- Update and maintain vendor database including W-9 forms and banking details for ACH payments
- Reconcile vendor statements including research, and correction of discrepancies
- Maintain and issue vendor 1099’s
- Maintain COI for any subcontractors
What You Have:
- AAS/BS degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, is preferred
- Thorough understanding of accounts payable procedures and general ledger chart of accounts
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
- QuickBooks experience a plus
- Knowledge of Sales and Use Tax a plus

In-Office: 40 hours/week, M-F; Opportunity to work from home on Friday.
