Job Title: IT Systems Architect & Support Manager

Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on IT leader to serve as the primary technology resource for a Houston-based office. This person will support employees day-to-day, own security posture, manage vendor relationships, and keep systems running reliably. This is a broad role suited for someone equally comfortable troubleshooting a laptop and reviewing a security policy.
Key Responsibilities
Employee IT Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Set up and retrieve equipment for new hires and offboarding employees
- Maintain workstations across desks, remote setups, and conference rooms
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage day-to-day relationships with MSP, MSSP, and vCISO partners
- Hold vendors accountable to SLAs and escalate issues as needed
- Evaluate and recommend new tools or service providers as the business grows
Cloud & Security
- Own AWS cloud security configuration, access controls, and compliance monitoring
- Enforce network security policies, firewall rules, and endpoint protection
- Manage user access across directories, SaaS applications, and proprietary systems
- Oversee physical access controls, including key card systems
Inventory & Asset Management
- Maintain accurate records of all hardware, software licenses, and IT assets
- Implement and enforce asset tracking processes to prevent loss or unauthorized use
Policy & Documentation
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and security best practices
- Keep technical documentation current for configurations, systems, and support processes
- Train employees on IT policies and security awareness
Qualifications
Required
- 3 years of experience in an IT support, systems administration, or IT management role
- Hands-on experience with AWS security and cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity managing MSP, MSSP, or vCISO vendor relationships
- Strong working knowledge of network management, endpoint security, and access control
- Experience with IT asset management and ticketing systems
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff
Preferred
- CompTIA Security , AWS Security Specialty, ITIL, or equivalent certification
- Background in developing and enforcing IT governance frameworks
