Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Houston, TX 77090
Job Type: Full-Time
Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical system designs, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality for switchboards and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design of UL-891 switchboards, motor and drive controls, and other power distribution systems using AutoCAD Electrical and various other tools.
- Develop schematics and conduct system analyses.
- Troubleshoot issues during manufacturing, testing, and field installation.
- Ensure compliance with UL-891, ANSI/NEMA, and IEC standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain project documentation.
- Work flexible hours to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; master’s preferred.
- 7 years of experience, with 3 years in a lead role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of UL-891 standards.
- Strong analytical and mentoring skills.
- Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Certification, PE license, Project Management Experience
