Position Summary
The Resident Aide plays a vital role in delivering high-quality personal care and support services while promoting independence, dignity, and comfort for each resident.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Provide respectful companionship and emotional support
- Ensure resident safety and comfort at all times
- Assist with meals, hydration, and basic housekeeping related to resident care
- Observe, document, and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition
- Follow individual care plans and community policies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and the care team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, STNA/CNA license
- Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or healthcare is preferred but not required
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and care plans accurately
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including lifting and transferring residents
