We are seeking an experienced Hotel Housekeeper to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of hospitality and comfort. Your expertise in cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service will help create a memorable stay for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures.
- Conduct janitorial tasks such as mopping floors, emptying trash receptacles, and maintaining cleanliness in public areas.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen supplies or cleaning equipment to ensure efficient workflow.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests professionally and courteously.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a focus on industrial or commercial cleaning.
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, including floor care and use of various cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks; familiarity with SDS is essential.
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and janitorial procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions related to hotel emergency procedures and safety standards.
