What are the responsibilities and job description for the CTA Web Content Intern position at Consumer Technology Association?
(Full-time/Long-term Internship)
Hours Per Week: Approximately 35 hours per week (standard business hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM). Schedules are flexible to accommodate current student class commitments.
Approximate Duration: May 2026 through early/mid-2027. Internships may last up to 11 months from the start date.
Hybrid Work Schedule: Interns are expected to work onsite Monday through Wednesday, with the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
Basic Function of the Position:
The role of the web content intern supports the development, publishing and optimization of content across CTA and CES digital platforms. This position assists with website updates, content management, campaign landing pages and performance tracking to ensure a strong and effective user experience.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in building, updating and publishing content across CTA and CES websites using content management systems.
- Support creation and updates of landing pages for marketing campaigns, events and research initiatives.
- Ensure web content is accurate, consistent and aligned with brand and messaging standards.
- Assist in reviewing and optimizing web pages for usability, clarity and engagement.
- Support basic SEO efforts including metadata updates, formatting and content structure.
- Help coordinate with marketing, creative and content teams to ensure timely and accurate web updates.
- Monitor website performance metrics and assist in reporting on traffic, engagement and conversion trends.
- Identify opportunities to improve content flow, user experience and conversion performance.
- Provide general support for digital and web-related marketing initiatives as needed.
Work Experience:
- Work and/or internship experience in an office environment; web, marketing or communications experience preferred.
Education and Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience – Communications, Marketing, Digital Media or related field preferred.
- Interest in web content, digital marketing and user experience.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal or similar) preferred.
- Basic understanding of SEO and web analytics (e.g., GA4) preferred.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate ability to efficiently handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent communication skills, be customer/team oriented, and be able to work with all staff levels.
- Must have a positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Additional Information:
- Travel to CES 2027 is required.
