RN - Seasonal Emergency Room

Job Summary

Provides direct and indirect patient care in an assigned setting, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to restore health while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, along with other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conducts accurate patient assessments based on medical conditions.
• Administers medications as prescribed, demonstrating knowledge of their use.
• Provides age-appropriate and condition-specific care, including basic self-care activities.
• Develops and evaluates patient and family education plans.
• Utilizes nursing knowledge to perform treatments and services.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
• Assists physicians with procedures and performs technical/manual skills.
• Addresses psychosocial needs, coordinating with social services for discharge planning.
• Practices cost-effective resource usage and promotes patient safety.
• Prioritizes care efficiently and effectively.
• Engages in ongoing professional learning and development.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 2 years recent emergency nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Computer literacy and ESI Triage proficiency.
• Licenses and certifications including RN, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
• Preferred: EPIC EHR experience, ENPC, NIHSS.
