RN Manager - Perioperative Services (Evening Shift)

The RN Manager, Perioperative Services - Evenings is responsible for leading and overseeing the operational, clinical, and administrative functions of the Operating Room, Pre-Op, PACU, and Sterile Processing departments during evening shifts.

Key Duties Include

• Planning, organizing, delegating, and coordinating staff utilization, budgeting, and process improvements to ensure efficient patient throughput and staff workflows.
• Supervising nursing care and activities within perioperative areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (DNV, DHS, OSHA, AAMI, AORN) and readiness for surveys and accreditations.
• Developing physician relationships, supporting equipment and instrumentation needs, and maintaining a safe, compliant environment.
• Managing staff performance, recruitment, credentialing, and ongoing professional development.
• Monitoring quality metrics, patient satisfaction scores, and staff engagement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Overseeing departmental budgets, resource allocation, and capital needs, while ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
• Ensuring departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are followed, and preparing departments for surveys.
• Participating in committees, staff meetings, and representing the department in leadership forums.
  
  

Qualifications Include

• Licensed RN in Illinois with BLS certification within 30 days and national nursing certification within 3 years.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: 3 years perioperative nursing experience and leadership experience.
