What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Respite Provider position at Consumer Direct Care Network?
We are seeking a kind and dedicated Child Respite Provider to provide care and supervision for 2 young boy siblings with special needs. Respite care is to occur in the provider’s home or in the community to allow the parent to have necessary time to reset and recharge. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and confident in their abilities and skills to support children with developmental disabilities. Prior experience working with special needs children is necessary.
These boys enjoy watching cartoons, playing with toy trucks and cars, blocks, dinosaur toys and being outdoors.
Location: Fall Creek, WI (Eau Claire County)
Wage: $17.70 per hour
Schedule: Saturdays or Sundays 1pm to 6pm
Responsibilities:
Care/Supervision/Companionship
Toileting (assistance wiping/pull up change/clothing adjustment if necessary)
Meal Prep/snacks
Redirect and deescalate behaviors as needed
Qualifications:
5 years of previous experience with special needs children/Autism
Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance & willing to drive boys to activities.
Provide a safe, engaging environment to provide respite services
The family prefers providers to have HS Diploma/GED and be at least 21 years of age or older.

*I do not work on a commission, and pay is processed by CLTS and Consumer Direct - I respond to calls and emails during traditional business hours of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
